GOMOR Rescinded for LTC

An O-5 at a high level of the Defense Department received a GOMOR and immediately contacted Stockdale for assistance with the rebuttal.  The O-5 had five days to respond. Stockdale and the officer worked efficiently to find and develop evidence that called the investigation into serious question. The reprimanding officer, a Major General, properly believed and accepted the rebuttal. He rescinded his GOMOR. The O-5’s unit commander said it was the first time he had ever seen a GOMOR rescinded since assuming command.
