Field Grade Receives Honorable Discharge, Retains 20-Year Military Pension

A Major contacted Stockdale Army Law immediately upon initiation of an investigation into possible misconduct in Afghanistan. Stockdale developed a positive line of defense, which included true facts that were highly unfavorable about the command's handling of the case. The defense was made known to the command during the investigation and before any adverse action. This allowed the officer to negotiate a dignified retirement from the Army with an Honorable Discharge and his twenty-year military pension intact.
